Jabez The Mic Prophet born Darius Jones February 19th 1982. He was raised in Decatur Ga. When I listen to Jabez’s music I feel like we're having "chuch" in the trap. Most people would label his music Gospel rap or Christian rap, and while its both of those he coined it “CHRAP MUSIC” Church Rap Music. In June of 2022 Jabez performed at a private venue Downtown Atlanta to promote the single “God Didn’t Forget About Me” from the upcoming “He Aint Dead” E.P.
His most recent release is the project previously mentioned “He Aint Dead” a 4 track E.P which was officially released in September of 2022. This unforgettable collaboration with Grammy Nominated Producer Ron Jackson @moonronj is a masterpiece. When asked about his influences he said he didnt have many influences that didnt come from secular music.
Jabez has been around music for much of his life. He started penning bars and writing verses around 8 years old. I guess when you’re raised by a gospel singer you find your way back to the good vibrations even if you do go your own way. Jabez definitely has something special, I've heard the pre-transition music, and there is no comparison. You don't just hear this music you can feel it. Its anointed. Its undoubtedly different on many levels, and much like a breath of fresh air in this era of hip hop / rap. The music is uplifting , educational, posititve, edgy, and inspirational.
